(Extremely Grumpy Alien)
It's been busy the last little bit so I haven't posted in awhile, but hopefully I'll get back into the swing of posting more consistently.
This is a character I put together today based off of a concept by an unknown artist.

I'm familiar with Machinarium as it's one of my favorite IOS games. So anything with that style is awesome. :)
Not at all, its going to be a point and click adventure game , similar in style to machinarium if you are familiar with it. Im doing all the backgrounds in Blender, which will either be rendered out in cycles or painted over in photoshop (I havent decided yet). The final renders, or paintovers of each location will then be used as a 2d image for the backgrounds of the game. Additionally, I will be making the cut-scenes in Blender which I can then hopefully match the style up with the backgrounds to make the whole game feel similar. Ive taken a lot of inspiration for it from your style :) , that is why I tend to ask you about how you do your work.
Progress wise, I have spent two years writing and refining the story and I think I have something quite original. Im currently blocking each background in within Blender to get rough composition, camera angle and lighting for each location before I then will decide wether I want to finish them fully in Blender or paint over them. But there are 60 locations to create so It will be a while :)

Haha :) , I recognised this as soon as I saw it. I used the original drawing of this about 3 years ago as inspiration for ma main character of the game I am making :) Infact, I think I still have it saved on my Ipad :) , Im afraid I dont know the artist either, I think I found it by googling "cartoon alien" , You have done a great job of it :) well done as usual :)
