why not using the root controller? and i see lot of animator don't like to use it why?
The root control is really useful for certain things. If your character is doing an 'in-place' walk, you can add the forward translation on the root control and it will actually translate forward. And if you character is walking in a perfectly straight line, this is the easiest way to animate that walk.
However, if you try to translate and rotate the root you will notice that the feet slide around.
