When optimizing the mesh, is it ok to create 6 (or more) sided poles when I merge vertices? Won't that create pinching?
Hey Fenes, sure thing! It'll only show pinching on really rounded surfaces after the normals get baked, so for flat surfaces it's totally fine to have 6+ sided poles when you don't plan on using subdivision surfaces.
