in more extreme poses, how do you prevent the layers of cloth from poking through one another ? expecially the arm pit area

    For more extreme poses you'll have to use more Weight Painting and possibly Corrective Shape Keys to fix intersection and deformation areas. This gets into more advanced rigging that I didn't cover in this course. 

    Basically the way it works is to create a Shape Key for the mesh that is then enabled while in the extreme pose, thus fixing the problem area.
