Hi, brand new to blender. My question is...i used the alt/d option to make a copy with the same data. However, now each time i create a new object from the left tool bar it creates more duplicate objects and not just a single one. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? Thank you :)

    Are you adding objects via the Create tab? If so then I'm not sure how you're getting more linked objects, as adding new objects are always treated as new uniques. Unless perhaps you're in Edit Mode? If you're adding in Edit Mode then the new objects will be added as a new mesh component to the existing object.
