How are you getting the box to go from orange outline to white before moving it? Mine only turns white after I drag a little & then it turns to white outline & moves.

crewYou activate Grab with the "G" key at any time, such that you can quickly move an object without having to use the manipulator widget or toolbar. You can also do this for rotate (R), or scale (S).
