Help - I am new to Blender and I have no clue how to fix this. I added all the modifiers but I am stuck with just a few vertices.

Hi, the difference is that Optimal Display in the Subdiv modifier is on by default in newer versions of Blender. To see the same thing, try checking it off. This only changes how the viewport displays the wireframes and does not change anything about the mesh itself.
