The orientation of the scnece is off,...
up is down and down is up..... Or did I miss something? For me up is negative, which is not right, is it?

Wayne Dixon (waylow)
The world orientation will always remain the same, but the local orientation can be different for bones.
What control are you having issues with?
-
Well if I ianimate ball ball, the curves are flipped top over, so the oart thats up in your video is downwards in my scene...
-
So its the Z control, which in this view reads a Y...
-
Ok so the controls work with local space, so even though the World Z is always up, the local Z might not be aligned.
Are you animating the Body control or the Root control?
Either way, you will often encounter controls that have a different orientation to the world. So world Z (up) might be local Y, or similar.
It might be a little confusing but give this lesson another watch
https://cgcookie.com/course/fundamentals-of-animation-in-blender-2-8xI hope it starts to make sense.

Its not that I do not understand it., just all the curves in the dope sheet and stuff do not look like in the video as everything is upside down.
And the exersise should complement th evideo shouldnt it?
-
Hi Tanaka. That is the exact file I started with in the video
Make sure you are animating the correct control.I hope this video makes it clearer.
-
Hmmm, I believe I took the base not the outer ring. That explains it.
Thank you for the effort of putting the time in showing me!

Thanks Tanaka. Same problem here for days. Pick the ring and not the base!
