Baking DVC causing issues in original texture

Unsure of exactly what is causing these issues. But for whatever reason it seems that when I go through the process of baking in the dirty vertex colors my original texture goes a bit crazy and I'm not sure why. Any sort of advice would be appreciated.

There shouldn't be any connection between the Dirty Vertex Color bake and the original wood texture...Checking your file the UVs on this particular panel are messed up causing the distortion:

  • I don't know what happened, but for some reason your UV's are all messed up:

When re-unwrapping, everything seems to be  ok, but that would mean that you have to do the painting and DVC baking all over again...

    • Thank you for letting me know what was going on. I think I'm just gonna restart this from the beginning and make my models cleaner with the knowledge I know now.

    • I think that's a good idea, you'll be surprised at how much faster it goes the second time and how much better the result...
