Normal/Object Velocities worked better for me at -1/0.

I had an issue that differed from the tutorial video where I noticed around frame 203 or so the smoke would separate into a few clusters of particles near the underside of my rocket. Leaving the Normal Velocity at -1 but changing the Object Velocity to  0 (rather than -1 as the tutorial states) seems to have resolved this issue with no negative visual impact on the launch.
