Omar: I have done some modeling, mostly hard surface, but I would not claim to be an artist ;)

  • Char Hunter(Char)

    Dang that's nice to watch.

  • Cookie Dough(cgcdough)

What if you decided to make this it's own program. Import and export models. It would make so you wouldn't have to only use blender. It would also make so you wouldn't have to update it for new versions of blender.

    Noted Jon :)

  • Omar Domenech(dostovel)

QUESTION TO JON: Did you have to learn 3D modeling to make the add on?

  • Jon Denning(gfxcoder)

Thibaut: all of the tools work with current selection or what's under the brush (depending on the tool). Just select, then CTRL+LMB.

  • Thibaut Bourbon(tbrbn)

QUESTION: do you need to select first and then swith to stroke mode or the opposite work? More general: how sensitive is the add-on to the order you do things ?

I love addons that redefine how to use Blender :) You did a great job!!

After a full two years or more of work CG Cookie is releasing the long-awaited version 2.0 of RetopoFlow for Blender!

The development team went back to the drawing board (literally), taking everything we learned in 1.x and rebuilding the entire toolset from the ground up. RetopoFlow 2.0 introduces a cohesive retopology mode, whereby all tools work side-by-side, allowing for a fast and intuitive workflow that's not possible in any other Blender tool.

Join us for a live demo of RetopoFlow 2.0 with Jonathan Williamson and Jonathan Denning to get your questions about the add-on, retopology workflows, and the development process answered.
