From what I see you can still make models of characters in Mesh. is this correct?

oooc Depends on what you're doing. Box modeling for me is easier with the mouse, but sculpting with a tablet is far easier than a mouse.

I have no experience with 3D anything but I do with AI and PS. For those I use a Cintiq companion. Is that still good to use for modeling or would a mouse be better?
