Ty Kent and kislonecho... is this a good place for me to start since I have watched the basic tutorial?

  • David Frazier(pointoflife14)

@ kislonecho: Yes he definitely does that, and very well.

    Jason Fink(kislonecho)

he showed difference of game vs animation, how does beautiful stills fit in? same as what you want for animation?

  • David Frazier(pointoflife14)

I've seen more and more that good typology is context sensitive, like will it be animated or a still render? etc. Which also determines if that stigmatized "N-gon" is a go or no.

Welcome oooc! And whoops, just realized the course is not linked in this event's description. Here it is: https://www.cgcookie.com/course/mesh-modeling-bootcamp

daphne2 If you're dealing with characters or things that need to bend, good topology is critical so you don't get funky deformations. Static objects, it doesn't matter as much.
