First time with Blender 2.8 - BC1-1808 - Week 1
Live Stream Host: Kent TrammellThis event is part of the August 2018 Class, "Getting Started with 3D Modeling & Blender 2.8"
To kick-off the beginner-oriented Class, we're simply opening Blender 2.8 and getting comfortable with it. We’ve all been there: Opening Blender (or any 3D package) for the first time, gazing at the crazy UI, trying to orbit in the viewport, crying...Ok, maybe you were stronger than me and didn’t cry. But the reality is 3D software is daunting. There’s SO MUCH to digest especially when you’re a beginner.
This stream coincides with the Blender Basics course. We're going to overview Blender and 3D from an absolutely beginner perspective. What is Blender for? What can it do? Wait, this isn’t a juicing seminar?
We’re also going to open the floor, ask me anything (AMA) style, so I can answer all your questions about getting started with Blender.
QUESTION: Do you have rotation in Turntable or Trackball mode?
That's funky navigation.
that definetly looks more new user friendly. thats good. :)
Is that viewport moving smoother than before?
the grid is now infinite by default
lol aaron!
don't stick your footer in your mouth
Petition to rename header to footer.
LOL Aaron
@ Aaron Rudderham
You don't want to know :P
Blender 1.0 existed before time itself.
2.8 has a new save screenshot feature very cool.
Hahaha
Like back in the 50's or something I think Aaron
QUESTION: can blender auto- update?
Damn, 2.4, when did that come out?
Q: how to get back to the Default Perspective? (after moving around)
2.4 was the worse. I down loaded 2.4 and never used it.
I've found most programs you don't need to install them, as long as you know how to add anything you need to the path
Those round colors catch my eye all the time. What even are they?
