This event is part of the January 2018 Class, "Getting Started with 3D Modeling & Blender".
Digital sculpting is the more artistically intuitive method of 3D modeling. If pushing and pulling verts felt like the hard way of doing things, sculpting will be a welcomed alternative!
This stream collaborates with the Fundamentals of Digital Sculpting course. We’ll be discussing/demonstrating the pros and cons of digital sculpting as well as how it compares to mesh modeling. Again, practice makes perfect with any craft, so we will practice sculpting as well. Bring your questions and be sure to have your pen and tablet ready to practice with me!
I meant the subdivide/collapse change
Oh that is a great tip Kent
Hot key for Detail Size?
There is an add-on called Mesh lint, it'll help you keep track of clean geometry
How does one keep track of bad geometry or messy geometry with all those triangles?
THat clears it up
That setting seems a little counter-intuitive
That's crazy!
I'd say starting with low poly count makes the base mesh a lot more manageable when you have to make a change
Zbrush is not working the same as Blender when it comes to poly count
