You can access grid fill with CTRL+F

somethign to add here, an easy way to find any triangles you might have missed is select->select all by trait->Select faces by sides and choosing 3 (or > 4)

I need to work on my tris and ngons tolerance

  • galledark (galledark)

    Ok thank you guys :)

Yannis, modifiers work on an entire object. for a specific set, you'd want to use subdivide on a selection.

To rephrase my previous question: Those statistics at the top are calculated for everything in the scene? Just the selected object? Is there any way to customize what the statistics report on. Ie. Update for local view, or have it (do or not) report total polys pre-modifier, etc?

Most of the modifiers can be driven by a vertex group to filter their influence. But it doesn't apply to subdiv nore multires modifier

  • Grady Pruitt(gradyp)

Note that Render is 2 regardless using the CTRL-number method of setting subsurf level.

    Hi Omar.

Can i use a modifier (like the subsurf) on a specific group of vertex only , rather than the entire object ? (Sorry about my bad english ^^')

This event is part of the January 2018 Class, "Getting Started with 3D Modeling & Blender"

Second week of the class: Enter the world of mesh modeling! This is the oldest form of building objects in 3D, in the computer. The discussing/demo today revolves around the technical art of “pushing and pulling verts”, as modelers lovingly called it.

We're piggy-backing off the Mesh Modeling Fundamentals course here, where practice makes perfect. So we’ll be mesh-modeling an object or two to demonstrate tools and workflow available with Blender. It’s ideal if you practice along with me!
