BC1-1801: Week 2 - Pushing & Pulling Verts
Live Stream Host: Kent TrammellThis event is part of the January 2018 Class, "Getting Started with 3D Modeling & Blender".
Second week of the class: Enter the world of mesh modeling! This is the oldest form of building objects in 3D, in the computer. The discussing/demo today revolves around the technical art of “pushing and pulling verts”, as modelers lovingly called it.
We're piggy-backing off the Mesh Modeling Fundamentals course here, where practice makes perfect. So we’ll be mesh-modeling an object or two to demonstrate tools and workflow available with Blender. It’s ideal if you practice along with me!
curios if sensai knows... Is there a way to set up a shortcut other than ctl + tab to switch between vet, face, edge. Like middle mouse to toggle through those selections?
I don't think you scaled it: I created one and had an X at 1.950 as well for some reason.
Late Michal, late
You havn't scalled it but you have flat faces on the sides and so, the "circle".... is not circle
It happens. ;-)
You could also do this moving it in objet mode and applying the location if it fits your topic and streaming flow
Hi everyone!
All primitives have a size of 2?
It can make you forget even the most basic things
Brain Overload from Main stage pressure is a side effect of live streams
I said Cylinder. :D
That is fun like that
Snapping is handy, I use it alot.
...I should have checked these filters more oftenly ^_^
It's gotta be said' "Oh SNAP!"
...But in object mode the origin will snap?
Never seen that...
In 3D snapping is a good thing, not in real life
I use snapping a lot, particularly when I want an object or edge in a specific spot in relation to another part.
oo, thanks :D, I'll experiment with that
@Anthony ... you can change your key bindings in User Preferences.
