This event is part of the January 2018 Class, "Getting Started with 3D Modeling & Blender".
To kick-off the beginner-oriented Class, we're simply opening Blender and getting comfortable with it. We’ve all been there: Opening Blender (or any 3D package) for the first time, gazing at the crazy UI, trying to orbit in the viewport, crying...Ok, maybe you were stronger than me and didn’t cry. But the reality is 3D software is daunting. There’s SO MUCH to digest especially when you’re a beginner.
This stream coincides with the Blender Basics course. We're going to overview Blender and 3D from an absolutely beginner perspective. What is Blender for? What can it do? Wait, this isn’t a juicing seminar?
We’re also going to open the floor, ask me anything (AMA) style, so I can answer all your questions about getting started with Blender.

Is there a way to hide the 3d cursor if not needed? Was not able to find the option or tick box...
For me it happened just twice so far
I've found the video will freeze if you're viewing through Safari. Chrome seems to work a little better

Karin yes it happens but not a big issue, just a short refresh and that's all
Fun fact: X,Y,Z also corresponds to R,G,B so that's why each axis is colored that way.

"3D View: 3D Navigation" add-on has these nav buttons you're looking for.
Might want to explain how shortcuts only work if you're hovering over the 3D viewport.

Might be a mac OS issue. could be under source options? Sorry I do not have OBX installed atm
