Knowing i am not the best with conceptual art is it ok to use some references to give me idea to turn the helmet into something of my own?

I was wondering if there is any other way to extract pieces from the helmet like you did at 13:25. Or is it only usable from that add on?

I installed it correctly and switched the grease pencil from scene to object. When i draw the line and press grease cut it doesn't separate the mesh  

I installed your modified plugin.  One of your options is not showing at all.. the smooth checkbox.
If I follow your tutorial.. I have a uv sphere in object mode selected, and in side view, draw a curved grease pencil line for bottom scallop, with "subtract" checked.. then i click the grease cut button - nothing happens except i get the warning at the top bar saying i have to draw a line with the grease pencil first.
Some how it is ignoring my grease pencil line in addition to not having your "smooth" checkbox for the plugin.
NOT working for me - i have uninstalled plugin and reinstalled it also.
What do you think is happening. (i am running 2.78c windows version)

I am using v2.78c. I have installed the addon from the link in the notes. I have read the comments below, but I still can not get the grease cut to work in any view. Any ideas? I don't want to install an old version because I'll be learning techniques that wont apply in the current and future releases.

For anyone else having issues with the addon on 2.78, for some reason, you absolutely CANNOT use the numpad to change the view or the addon won't work properly. It will not cut properly unless your viewport specifically says "User Ortho", and it will not work properly in ANY view if you're trying to use grease pencil lines drawn in one of those views.

Anyone know what's the polish tool? Is that an addon? I only have flatten and smooth tool.

Hi! So, I've had the same issue in 2.78 with the sculpt tools. I've ended up having to keep the ortho view on the X/Z axis (numpad 1) for the cut to work. I changed symmetrize to "-Y to +Y" ("+Y to -Y" works too), and it works for me. It's just not working when the axis is on Y/Z (pressing 3 on numpad). I wonder what's wrong there!
