Part 3 - the Paint Up
- I start by using the magic wand & lasso tools to save a series of valuable selections to be used later. Then using the selections as masks when needed I one by one paint the textures of the scene over the 3d model this happens in a very "paint by the numbers format"
- Once I cover the canvas with an initial pass of detail and texture is should be enough to gauge the general feel and lighting for the scene. Reference is optional and recommended for this to increase believability. The scene usually looks a bit flat so I try to add more dynamic lighting using mostly the soft round brush and several layers of trial and error. This comes down to personal taste and style really.
- Final details and adjustments. This may include figures, rim lights, high lights, and adjustments layers, like curves and levels.
