I figured I'd post the values practices before starting the moods as they are somewhat dependent on them.
I think the side lighting came out ok. I found some decent reference.
The below lighting was a bit tricky and I think I followed my reference too much instead of applying that knowledge to the piece and ended up changing the characteristic of my face too much.
The back lighting I couldn't find good reference for. I was winging it a bit. I think I could have more information in the eyes, depending on the amount of bounce lighting. I think with back lighting the values on the front would be more uniform. I added some bounce lighting form the side to try to describe the forms better.
This was pretty fun so far. Might give the below and back lighting one another go.
