Familiar Faces Exercise Final

Here’s my Concept Cookie project for February. Exercise 22, final submission. I used riceart’s image as a layout template for mine. Row 1: Mr T, Christopher Walken in “The Continental” SNL sketches, Queen Elizabeth 2, Leslie Nielson, Malala Yousafzai Row 2: Queen Victoria, Mother Teresa, Lt. Gen. Romeo Dallaire, Shigeru Miyamoto, Ingrid Bergman as Ilsa in Casablanca Row 3: R. Lee Ermy as Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Full Metal Jacket, Bernard Hill as King Theoden in Lord of the Rings, Audrey Hepburn, Oprah Winfrey, Charlton Heston Row 4: Nelson Mandela, Johnny Cash, Paco de Lucia, Robert Duvall as Gus McCrae in Lonesome Dove, Sean Connery as James Bond. I was just figuring out how to get a good likeness for the first 5-10, and was only really getting to a strong sense of quality and deliverable by the Ingrid Bergman one. After her, I began to feel more free to experiment with style, actually more like I just wanted to improve my initial sketchwork, and have studied high-quality-likeness sketches online, while doing the later 10 faces. While this was exhausting, and time consuming, even more-so it was educational and enlightening. I video-screen-captured each, and uploaded several to YouTube. I've rewatched many of them to find out various issues I have in my drawing. I've found canvas-flipping to be VERY effective. Finally, all this time, I’ve been looking forward to doing some of the other exercises, and sad I've missed doing the Berries exercise while it has been live. I think I'll do Clouds or Hair.
