Blender Conference 2011

As many of you may know, the annual Blender Conference is taking place this weekend in Amsterdam! The conferences starts Friday morning and goes through to Sunday evening. It is an absolute blast and worth every penny of admission and every second of travel time. You can find more information about the conference here:

We realize we are posting this a bit late, but we figured most of you will already know about the conference and we were a bit busy finishing off the Lowpoly Character training series

Jonathan hopped on a plane

This year Jonathan will be there again, representing CG Cookie! He will be presenting on Sunday about lowpoly character development for games, and will be hosting a community round-table of sorts alongside Bart Veldhuizen, owner and admin of Blender Nation, on Saturday. You can see the complete schedule of all events HERE.

Say hi

As a way of saying thanks to all of our users that will be at the conference, Jonathan is taking 25 sheets of paper that are printed with awesome discount codes for both the CGC Shop and Citizen Memberships. All that you need to do is go up to him, introduce yourself and mention something about “discount codes” to him to get your hands on one. But be quick, there’s only 25!

For those of us that are not able to make it, you can follow our Blender Cookie twitter feed below (or on Twitter), Jonathan will be posting periodic tweets at the conference. He will be posting pictures and maybe even the occasional video as well!

I’m so lucky I live only 5 hours by train away from Amsterdam, I cant Imagine
how it would be to have to fly around the world to get there. But my admiration to those who do that :) and have fun at the Blender conference!
