In this tip tutorial we will look at how a “generic” ice and snow shader is composed and what it takes to achieve a realistic look. We will be using the preset scene that comes with the Modo 501 Content Pack which is designed and optimized for creating shaders.

Cool, got a pretty decent snow here.
Great tut!
Once again thank you for the tutorial, it feels like making tutorials for Modo is an unappreciated form of art but I want to say that I appreciate it at least
Thanks Ninthjake! I appreciate you taking the time to view it!
blender user new to modo, just got 601 the other day, hope to see modo cookie grow, can’t recreate the things I have done with blender yet,not used to the ui but I agree with Ninthjake that there aren’t allot of places to learn modo. The shaders and rendering looks to be allot less of a pain than cycles.
I’m just going to ask, is this site dead?
