In this tip tutorial for Modo, we’ll take a look at how to prepare a scene to render a realistic earth-like planet, and then move it in Combustion to obtain final look. We’ll use simple spherical objects to create the planet, halos and clouds. Shaders will be really simple, prepared using earthmap downloaded from proposed free websites, and using some additional features as nesting layers in material editor, using gradient/incidence and displacement.
