This is our 1st modo video tip tutorial and we’ll try to start checking basic features step by step discovering how to use it in the simplest way. This time we’ll take a look at the blurred reflection and we see some simple material editor features to create 3 simple shaders : plastic, chrome metal and a blurred chrome metal.
Hey Everyone,
We have successfully restored a back-up to the site from Saturday, 1/14/2012 10pm. Some images and comments which were added after this time may not have been restored. If you happened to create an account on CG Cookie after this time period and are having trouble accessing your account, please let us know at support@cgcookie.com. Also if you create a new account and notification doesn’t come through please let us know. We were informed from Rackspace that they are working on a lingering DB issue which may be affecting CGC, and BA.
Thank you for the understanding and patience with us.
But all should be well going forward and comments and registrations have been reopened!

Hi,
how can i DL this Tip: Video ? on vimeo it say´s
“This is a private video
Sorry, you do not have permission to watch this private video.”
I have a slow I-net connection, so i have to preload the videos on CGcookie.
i am a citizen, but for citizen there is no DL for the Tips, why ???
greatings from Germany (and sorry for the terrible english)
You should be able to watch the video here or on Vimeo. That is frustrating you are running into the error. But I have seen this before on some users where I had to re-upload the video for it to work. Let me look more into it. *edit I did change the settings so hopefully that helps.
We are working to get Tips added to Citizen. Though we do not have the source files for tips, we have received a few requests to download and have the ability to take around the video.
Thank you again for hanging out on the site and if you have any other questions our direct support line is at support@cgcookie.zendesk.com (slaps us in the face when there is an e-mail)
Cheers,
W
