Plasma Arcs in 3D Studio Max
In this video for 3ds max, we’ll take a look at Particle flow used to simulate a basic plasma energy ball. We’ll use PFlow nodes to add some particles moving over the inner sphere, that will create other particles trying to reach the external sphere. During its travel the particle will spawn to create an arc shape, and will collides with the internal faces of the ball. During collision we’ll add some particles simulating energy moving over the sphere, and to obtain a better noise movement of the arcs we’ll use a Wind space warp with no speed, and with just turbulence. This setup will be useful for a future tutorial to render it using Krakatoa.
