In this new video for 3ds max, we’ll start working on a new series. Natural environment with plants series will talk about how to prepare a natural environment with a complete basic ecosystem done using Multiscatter plug-in.
What we’ll do
In 1st part of Natural environment with plants series, we’ll take a look at how to setup basic scene with terrain modeling, some preliminary plant setup and basic rendering tweaks with VRay. We’ll model a simple terrain mesh using a plane primitive and the sculpting tools from Graphite Modeling features, then we’ll prepare a ground shader using VRay material and some substance maps. Then we’ll start using Multiscatter plug-in to add some trees all around, and we’ll take a look at some preliminary features useful to place plants, create random variation and decide where and how many trees we’ll have on the terrain.
