In this video for 3ds max we have to continue working at the Alien planet environment series, and we’ll start to do a little bit of look development with lighting and materials.
What we’ll do in Part 3
In this new part of Alien planet environment series, we’ll work at the foreground terrain focusing on materials, and we’ll do some tweakings to general lighting changing some daylight and exposure control parameters. We’ll start working on the terrain shader and we’ll add some more displacement details too. Ground shader will be done using an Arch&Design with nested composite maps on diffuse and bump. We’ll try to simulate different materials for the “road” area, general terrain and mountain area, using different masks, textures and substance maps.
