In this video for 3ds max, we’ll continue talking about the Planet death series. This time we’ll start planning and working at various particles and fluid passes to add more FX layers before we’ll start to break the planet.
What we’ll do in Part 4
In Part 4 of Planet death series, we’ll start working with FumeFX to prepare our 1st FX layer. We’ll see how to start planning and preparing basic setup to control a flame layer following the ray fx over the planet surface. To prepare it, we’ll use Particle Flow to add particles following one of the gradient ramp mask used in Part 3 to add plasma energy expanding over the planet. So we’ll tweak it to have a good amount of particles and we’ll start to tweak a basic FumeFX setup to be able to work at look development on Part 5.
