Introduction

In this new video for 3ds max we’ll start a series of tutorial related to discover more 3rd party plug-ins. This time we’ll introduce Ornatrix developed by Ephere.

What we’ll see

In this 1st tip tutorial we’ll take a look at Ornatrix, a complete package able to create, style, render and animate hairs, fur, grass etc etc. This plug-in is on the market since years, and actual 1.8 release is really complete and powerful. Completely integrated in 3ds max, compatible with a lot of rendering engine, and able to be more powerful than internal hair simulator. We’ll have a brief introduction to its features and its basic workflow, trying to understand how to add it to a scene, how to render it, and finding all its features all around 3ds max panels and features. In future videos we’ll create scenes to understand how to use its features to simulate hairs, fur and creating grass.
