Introduction

In this video for 3ds max we’ll start a new series that will cover a lot of topics as modeling, sculpting, procedural shading, lighting, natural environment creation, rendering, FX, etc etc

What we’ll do in Part 1

Part 1 will be a basic introduction to the Alien planet environment series. We’ll use basic poly modeling features and Freeform Graphite modeling tools to create part of the terrain/environment adding details and sculpting a base to work on. Then we’ll start using some displace modifiers with procedural maps applied on, to add more terrain details.

    cool man. i do not use 3ds max because of the scarcity of its free tuts only. but this series on alien planet really makes me wanna test it. i’ll past my result as soon as i’ll finish it. Great job Alessandro. Just keep up uploading great tuts for free streaming.
