In this video for 3ds max we’ll take a look at how we can use some 3ds max features to manipulate particles in a different way.
What we’ll do with Mesher
This time we’ll talk about the Mesher compound object and how to use it to manipulating particles in 3ds max. It will give us the possibility to make a copy of our Particle Flow setup, that will be manipulated as we can do with standard poly meshes. We’ll see how to prepare it and more in depth its parameters, then we’ll see how we can use it with animation and/or modifiers, materials. We’ll prepare some simple examples to show how it works and at the end we’ll see a fast setup to use PFlow as scattering tool to distribute mushrooms over a template terrain.
