In this video for 3ds max we’ll see how we can create a puddle on the road simulating water dynamic with Realflow. We’ll prepare a scene with a ground mesh, the puddle mesh and an animated tire. Then we’ll export everything in SD file format to Realflow. In the Next Limit software we’ll use the Fill Object emitter to fill the puddle mesh of water, then we’ll add gravity force and start tweaking various water parameter to find a good basic setup to evaluate the interaction between water and the tire. We’ll see how to set parameter to start obtaining a good quality result and how to optimize simulation time. In part 2 we’ll see how to set final quality simulation, how to export hires mesh and render it in 3ds max.

Great tutorial, I was just thinking the other day that a car driving through a puddle would be a good test to do with Realflow, thanks.
Thanks Jack, just finished to record Part 2. Hope it will be interesting too. If you have more suggestions related to Realflow or other tools please write us about it !
i so love this site… Really really great tutorials.. I learnd alot here! Just cant stop thanking u A.cangelosi. Lookin forward to seeing more of these awesome tuts.
Thanks for your post. I’ve to thank you all for following us. We’ll work hard to give you great tutorials !
i hope in the next part2, ur can used R.kit on 3ds_max,,!!
i think ur wll be the Next HERO for me,,??
Hi thanks for posting. Part 2 is solved using standard particle mesher in Realflow, but I’ll release a tip series to see how to play with Renderkit in 3ds max, and hope to release it in February or March. Thanks
Silly question, i only have the create flow/cloud tabs can’t seem to find the SD import/export? what am i missing?
Figured it out myself. Had some installation problems.
Sorry for the delay. Is everything ok now with it ? Thanks
Yes had only installed the RFRK not the Realflow plugin. Still i don’t have as many icons as you? Do you have a special version?
Hi, I’ve installed RFRK, Realflow plugins, and you see more icons because I’ve Maxwell plugins installed too.
