This time we’d like to release a shaders pack for Citizens. It includes 6 shaders, (most of all completely procedural based), for 3ds max 2010, 2011 and 2012. These shaders are prepared in different versions for Scanline render, MentalRay/iRay, FinalRender and VRay. In Pack 1 we have : Glass/Colored glass, Chrome, Matte/Glossy plastic, Metallic paint with rusty areas, Procedural Brick wall, Procedural bathroom ceramic. You have scene for every single rendering engine and for every single 3ds max version. In this video we’ll see in depth how I created the Scanline version to understand the maps used, how to nest it to obtain desired detail and look, and then we’ll see how to convert it to be used and optimized for different rendering engines.

Thanks for sharing. I’m sure I’ll use them and I like the explaination. Gives me a better idea of how to create my own shaders.
Thanks MIchael, we’ll release more stuffs like that in the future
Glad to know that you like it
Really
Hello Alexandro,
it would be nice to make a tutorial about the new node based material system in 3ds max, which is quite a big change, and can be confusing.
It’s just a suggestion but i think it would be useful to a lot of people, including myself.
Hi, thanks for posting and suggestion. We done something about Slate Material Editor in the past and we prepared the introduction to new features in 3ds max talking about it too. But I think it would be good to prepare more videos about using it to create materials. Thanks
hai pls help me to come up
