In this video for 3ds max, we’ll continue to work on Tron tutorial series. We’ll start preparing some basic shaders for metals and energy lines. We’ll prepare basic lighting setup to achieve the right look, and to be ready to render various pass. To prepare the shaders we’ll use the Arch&Design material for Mental Ray and Self Illumination feature that give us the possibility to emit lighting from self illuminated materials using the Final Gather. In Part 4 we’ll try to finalize lighting/shading and start planning pass rendering and compositing.

Hi Andrey, thanks for posting. Part 4 is ready and it will be released soon. Sorry for the delay to finalize this series but I was really busy. Now I’m planning some new series related to blockbuster VFX shots, so if you have suggestions please send it to us. Coming series will be beginner level as this one, but we’ll start with some advanced series too.
