In this video tutorial for 3ds max, we’ll start to have a deeper look at Max Hair tools. This modifier comes from Shave&Haircut technologies, and give us a lot of possibilities to prepare basic or complex fur/hair setup. In this 1st part, we’ll start preparing the scene lighting, and assigning Hair modifier to a dog 3d model. We’ll work a little bit on fur shader, hair render parameters, basic stylish tools, basic grooming parameters trying to prepare the basic setup to finalize the scene later. We’ll introduce the possibility to use maps to controls every single hair parameter and we’ll use it in part 2 con control colors, length, etc etc.
