In this new tip tutorial we’ll make a simple introduction to Flex modifier. This tool gives us the possibility to add secondary motion to a mesh vertices, so we can simulate soft body dynamic, or cloth-like animation, just using this modifier. It can use forces and deflectors for a complete dynamic solution. We’ll see how to apply it to some animated objects and how to play with its parameters controlling strength, flexing amount, and all the other dynamic behavior. In a coming tip tutorial we’ll see the advanced parameters useful to create more complex simulations.
