In this video tip tutorial for 3ds max, we’ll talk about the Free Form Deformer. This modifier gives the possibility to create a cage with control point all around the object volume, moving or rotating these control points, the artist has the possibility to sculpt the mesh in a fast and organic way. The Free Form Deformer can be created with a fixed number of points over every single axys as 2x2x2 or 3x3x3 or 4x4x4, or using the “box” or “cylinder” setup where the artist can decide the amount of control points.
