Creating an Animated Flag Part 2

In this new video tutorial for 3ds max 2011, we’ll work with our flag we created. We’ll finalize the shading and lighting adding ambient occlusion, and the right sun position. We’ll work on the cloth setup, using ClothFX modifier. We’ll create some groups to fix some area of the cloth, and to constraint a cloth to the other ones. We’ll work on the cloth properties to find the right animation effect, and on the collision parameters to make it collide with the other objects. We’ll add some wind effect with turbulence and we’ll use a noise rotation controller to animate the wind direction. Finally we’ll work more on the MR Exposure control to obtain the final look and we’ll add the 3D motion blur to render the animation. In a coming tutorial we’ll add secondary effects as fire, smoke, embers etc.
