In this new tutorial for 3ds max we’ll start to take a look at character rig stuffs.

We’ll introduce a biped rig starting creating two leg chains using bones feature, then we’ll add IK solver to it, and
a simple mesh controller for the foot. Next step will be adding a simple spine with IK too, and a dummy object able
to control position for the spine and leg attachment area. We’ll take a look at swivel angle directly in viewport using the
manipulator and/or in the right parameter panel.

Thanks for this – it’s very informative and the step-by-step approach means I can grasp what is truely going on when creating a character rig. I have been very curious about creating one for some time – now I can.

    Awesome job!
