This is the 2nd Part 3D Studio Max Video  tutorial talking about Asteroid animation and rendering. In this new tutorial we’ll take a look on how we can add some dust layers created with Krakatoa to add gaseous effects outer space then in 3rd part we’ll see how to use Afterburn to create some little asteroid falling down the Earth.

Hello, this is a great tutorial website, I’ve enjoyed it very much.
Hate to ask, but any chance of seeing the rest of the asteroid anytime soon? I know it’s a lot of work (did I even say thank you?) but my impatience is only proportional to the quality of your tuts.
    Hope catch you soon,
    G.

    Hi Alessandro,

You have a great website for Max tutorials.Great stuff is stored here and verry helpfull.
I like because its dedicated to Max and website like this one is verry rare.
I started to make a comet(like in your tutorial)and in part 2 my Max crashed(when I increase the Particle Amount/Upper Limit to 10 millions).
    I use Max 2010 32 Bit
    Intel Core2Duo 2.66Mhz
    1 T HDD
    4 Gb Ram
    ATI Radeon HD 5700/512

I think ram’s its the problem.Wich is the optimum cofiguration?

Thank you for sharing your work to us.And if my english is bad…sorry.
