Hello and Happy Halloween Everyone! The contest is over and the results are in!

I was surprised to see so many different interpretations of what a modern vampire would look like!

If you’re wondering what this is all about, check back to the contest announcement page HERE!

- The gold, silver, and bronze pumpkin winners were based on overall technique, quality, and originality. For this contest, the judges included JonathanWes, and myself (Tim).

- The Community Cookie was based on having the most “likes” on our Concept Cookie facebook page. You can view all of the entries on our facebook page here: Modern Vampire Contest Gallery

- For the winners: Expect us to contact you sometime within the next few days as to details on the prizes you have won!

Without further delay, here are the results:

The Community Favorite Pumpkin along with a CGCookie T-shirt goes to Josho with his entry of: Mr. Orlok

This entry received an astonishing 196 likes from the community nearly 100 more than the next standing submission. Well done and definitely worth the community’s votes!

And here are the standing results.

In third place receiving the Bronze pumpkin along with a free month of citizen goes to: corviday

“This entry was one of the last ones but it stood out among the crowd. It had a painterly feel and a nice silhouette aganist a muted background. I love the subdued color palette which really lets the red stand out. Certainly my favorite in terms of technique.”

In second place receiving the Silver pumpkin along with three months of citizen and a 50$ amazon gift card goes to: nama-saya-elwin

“Wes and Jonathan both thought this one was a stand out. There is a story that can be seen from this picture, and it was funny. This one goes well along with the other entry of the hamburger vampire. Well done on creating a visual story for the viewer to interpret!”

In first place receiving the Golden pumpkin along with receiving a full year of citizen, a 100$ gift card to amazon, an Eat Sheep Art Book, and being featured across the sites for the month of November goes to: Josho!

“How could this not be chosen as the winner. Not only was this the community favorite by a landslide but it was well done on every aspect. The title of this one was Mr. Orlok and for those who do not know, this is a reference to the classic, Nosferatu. So the interpretation of bringing this character into a modern time frame was thought out and pretty funny. The colors are really nicely showcased from the two light sources being emitted in the piece. The detail was even brought into the paper work and labels making the scene look polished and really made me appreciate the attention being given to little areas such as this. Great job man, you deserved it and enjoy your prizes!

Thanks for checking out our Fall 2012 Contest of a Modern Vampire! Before you know it we will already be into our winter contest so stay tuned!

I am fairly new to digital art and find it difficult. This pushed me and I thank you for that.
