There have been plenty of entries so far with even more to come as this last week comes to a close. It has been interesting seeing different points of view on what it means to be a modern vampire. I can’t wait to see the full final results of the submissions.
As with every contest I wanted to include my own submission (not to be included as a candidate for the prizes 
So for my submission I wanted to create a full character concept based off of the original contest banner. White and Red are my favorite colors, so to play with the different varieties of these hues was a fun experience especially with the contrast they have with one another! When I think modern vampire, I am inspired by movies like Let the Right One In. A fragile killer. Every October I enjoy in watching a slew of horror and thriller movies to get into the Halloween spirit, and recently I’ve been watching a lot of Japanese horror movies. So here is my character concept art for my modern vampire, or kyuuketsuki.
