I clicked on this because I thought you posted here on accident and meant to post to Concept Cookie. Would be interested to see how you do it. From my experience it would just be quicker for me to do it in a 2D app. I guess if your good with curves you could do it fairly quickly. How long did these take you to do?
Yeah, guess I could see that helping. Sort of same as drawing lines in a 2D app and dragging it to adjust it’s curve?
Guess the rub between a 2D app and this is the 2D apps loosing control of the curves after you’ve committed it? Speaking from old gripes I’ve had with 2D apps, very possible some versions ago they may of already addressed and fixed those gripes.
Never spent the effort to see after finding an alternative to the same goal.
The goal is to help those who do not master the drawing. Using as a reference image, the curves of blender will allow to have a good liner. The line is clear and it rarely comes on. Then there is a rendering of the image directly in the 3D window and save it in PNG and open it in Gimp. Thats all.
You should look at Inkscape (http://inkscape.org/). It’s a free vector drawing program with the ability to draw curves just as you are doing. You can even save in a vector friendly format (SVG is an open standard for doing this), and open again at a later time to continue on.
Nice work and good luck!
