This is really fantastic work! The texturing looks like a great start. The scratches and such look great. I would love to see you take the texturing a bit further and add some more variety.

Either that or the lighting, it looks just a bit, well, bland(no offense)…

But hey! Nice job on the texturing/materials and the modeling, its very, very nice! The secondary gun is something I haven’t seen before…purty cool though!

Its also interesting to look at the wood and see the reflection, a detail not to go unnoticed!

Cool! I think what would get rid of some of the blandness in the background would be a reflection on the floor.

There is a little reflection, but I’m needing shadows and such…it seems to me that its just a, what is it called, Environmental Lighting. Either that, or the floor needs to be more reflective, right now it seems like on of those laminate floors, rather that a REAL wood floor. ;)

It was just Environmental Lighting, I didn’t try for any real shadows and deep reflection. (it looks slightly brighter on my copy) And Jonathan is right, the entire model needs something more, I think it’s still too “clean”. But I did want to share, thanks for the tips!

I’m hunting for some more Distress tutorials, and will probably come back to this model again when I have learned some more in that area.
