A render of my desk setup
Rendered in Cycles (4000 Samples) 24 hours render time.
Why is the render so noisy, It looks more like a 500 samples render. A really good job, but you could have used gimp or photoshop to slightly blur the more noisy areas. Based on when I have used cycles you should have gotten a way better render anyway. It’s very good modeling and texturing by the way. You should check some settings in your renderpanel(I know they can be a pain in the butt when one of them are wrong). This actually should have looked good with 1000 samples. I am quite sure there is some problem causing the noise. Great job!
Thank you. I think I found something that may be contributing to the noise problem .
Are you by chance using any lamp objects? Actual lamps are very noisy in Cycles and moment and so you should try and just use mesh lights with an emission material.
table texture looks cool,I think coke can and phone could be little bigger.
cycles cool, isnt it ?:) can wait for next blender 2.63
Haha nice monkey, keeping true to your own desk set-up I see.
I agree with CGuitar this render is still quite noisy it looks nothing like 2000 samples
Thanks for the comments
it is all mesh lighting. i think what the problem was it there is a plane covering the window with a glass material
