I tried to do it in a semi realistic way…
box modelled again, based on the groundhog tut. Could someone help me with the fur on the ears?
All comments appreciated!!!

I see you are getting some patching in your fur on the ears. Might check the vertex grp, or clump settings in the particle panel. Overall looking good! Looking forward to seeing more.
thanks… I did a double check, recalculeted the normals, hte wnole thing is red like a stoplight where it has to be. No change at all. But thanks again. Any other ideas? :S
I never had much success with the weight painting of the hair it always left it patchy (I know you can check the vertex grps in weight paint). Did you select the vert’s and assign a grp? Or Weight paint them in?
Bucky O’Hare!
Heh… googd idea… but after this one I make a less furry character. Maybe Earthworm Jim.
1lmojoml1 I did both… there were places where it was easier to make it by selectib vertices. Than there were parts where I used weight painting. I think the problem is, that it has not too much vertices actually. But yes… it is a nasty bit of work, pal… and if I want to make it into a full image, than i have to reduce the fur… or maybe not? I am still a noob :S
He looks good. I also suck at particle hair for now but after watching the reindeer tutorial and the groundhog one I want to give it a go again. Maybe check those out also they look like they have good tips in them.
Followed the tips in those tutorial, but the weird thing is, whatever I do the fur looks like this everitime.
