Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at rendering an interior after a couple of months of learning blender.
Still a lot to fix and learn but I’m quite happy with it.
Comments are very much welcome. Thanks!

WOW, this looks great, very photorealistic.
I think that the table is a little too glossy, I would turn down the gloss just a fraction.
Also the side of the couch seems a little too high, it looks out of proportion.
Other than this it could be mistaken for a photograph.
I hope this has helped.
Feel free to criticise my work as you please.
Awesome, but your scene’s scale looks a little small. Scale it up a bit. Also I would add another shader to the table lamp, the emission by itself doesn’t look quite natural. Also I would scale up the trim a bit and darken its color, I can only see the model work in one place. Good texture on the couches, but I would move the cusions a little closer together.
Pretty awesome. I would change up that lamp in the corner though, it looks too.. white. It looks like you’ve got the emission coming from the shade itself, you might wanna try having the light emit inside (where the bulb would be), and give the lamp shade a translucent material like cloth or whatever. That way the emitted light is less blindingly white, and you don’t get shadows inside the shade (you can see inside the rim on the reflection on the table, as well as the top of the shade.. and it’s dark in there!).
Hey everyone,
Thanks for all the comments.
@Jaidy – You’re right, it is on the glossy side and will turn it down and again about the side of the couch. I actually did all the modeling by eye the point being I was just exploring as to what my ability was after a couple of months of studying Blender. Thanks again.
@Saikaderfromage – You’re right, it isn’t to scale and that’s because I did everything by eye, next time it will be hehe. When it comes to the light, I’m don’t know much about lighting yet so I will look into that more. What do you mean by “Scale up the trim”? Thanks.
@Shiny – The light is lit from the inside, the shade is translucent. Don’t know how to ad cloth materials yet or any material for that matter hehe. Thanks for all the tips though.
Thanks to all again
The trim/border is a little small in proportion to the other objects. Also if you scaled up the whole scene to Blender units, it would make it a lot more realistic.
