Image is: finished (?)
An improved version of my previous render.
New ant’s shader and added hairs.
Blender 2.63/Cycles, GIMP
Wow, absolutely beautiful!
Subtle improvements, but a world of difference. This is a great render.
Great new efforts on this one and featured!
someone whip up a tutorial on this!!! pweeees :p
how did you create those hairs?
Now being a nature guy, that’s awesome.
Did an awesome job!
this is well done ! how did you do with particles?
I love it!!!… It looks REALLY real!!!..:D.. you are so talented!!!..;D.. Keep it up!..;)…
Absolutely lovely, the ant really feels apart of it’s environment. Congrats on being featured!
I really like this image. Great work Adam!
Thank you folks!!!
I made a little set-up for this image, it’s very simple, but maybe it will help someone.
Very good job!
Hi can you please find time to render me just front and side of that ant because i would really like to use it as a reference in my project
Nice render. I really appreciate you uploading the detailed screen shots to deviantart. Keep it up.
Love it… but i would suggest two things…
First, make the log less uniform. Currently it is a perfect line, change it so it is bumpy and imperfect.
Second, I would change the texture on this ant to something more metallic…
If you look at photos online you will see that they are slightly see through, like when you shine a flashlight underneath your fingertip and it glows. If you could find a way to make it metallic and yet glow through this would be awesome.
this remember me ” A bug’s Life”
A very stunning render. I feel so drawn into this.
Though just a couple of things I might critique;
the scale of the ant looks too big as compared to
the depth of field plus the tree barks look too
dark. But other than that, really fantastic image!
It’s just superb..amazing…
Really nice ant, i like how you added in the hairs, some people forget that ants have hair… ~Royall
wow… amazing! only thing is that the eyes don’t look quite right, maybe add a subtle spec map to them or something to give some detail.
Great SSS on those leaves, and nice background.
